There is a crusade underway for the construction of road to mankeli which is just six kilometres from the district headquarters, but the government authorities aren't able to construct road up till now due to resistance shown by Maoists.
Salwa judum traces back its origin to Congress legislator Mahendra Karma mobilising people against the naxals .
This conflict took place between two sides several tribesman joined as special police officer's (spo) , including piddu korsa who took the side of judum .
Back in time when he used to live in mankeli Maoists started to give him threats then he moved to jainagar bijapur in 2008.then In 2015 he was brutally killed outside his home.
Some 70,000 tribals shifted to temporary camps due to conflict.
Korsa's home was just two kilometre far away from crpf camp ; after he passed away his family trouble increased they didn't received any help from government like job and funds for the victims.
His son somaru korsa currently working for a private firm and somehow is managing to look after his family and he got married and right now he is father to a son, somaru's mother doesn't receive any widow pension granted by government.
Another kid of piddu korsa is in school and continuing to complete his study also he is taking training for judo.
